Hi All,

PFRE (4 April 2019) How to Be Efficient at a Photoshoot

“I’m a new real estate shooter and on top of trying to keep in mind all the tips and tricks, I’ve learned here on PFRE (thank you!), the thing that I struggle with the most is trying to figure out the order of what to do when I get to a house. It feels like I’m bouncing off the walls running from place to place. I wish I could be more efficient. Any ideas?”

Your tip on how to be efficient at a real estate photoshoot?

Best,

Dan

@DanSmigrod

This short little blog contribution says more than many multi-page articles on the same subject. I've discovered a virtually identical methodology - especially taking some time with the map and planning the exterior shots. For more help, you can use The Photographer's Ephemeris - really useful app for planning exterior photography.

The bottom line is to show up with a plan. Do the walkthrough. Address all staging areas thoroughly, then get "in the zone" and start shooting with a pace and a passion.
