Screen Grab Hi All, Thinking about buying a Matterport Pro2 3D Camera? I curate a shopping list of Matterport Gear. See the Tab above that says Buy Gear. Wonder what gear WGAN Forum Members are talking about? See this shopping list for WGAN Forum Members Suggest (includes links to the WGAN Forum discussions where the gear is mentioned.) Here's a shopping list for 360º 1-click cameras and for 360º 1-click camera accessories. Best, Dan P.S. Yes. WGAN (me) receives an affiliate commission from Amazon and others. If you find this curation helpful, think of it as a tip jar. |

Hey there, I use one of these: https://www.amazon.com/RIDGID-222570-Pro-Tool-Black/dp/B00P4RSJKM/ It is scary but this thing was somehow just MADE for the Matterport II body.. it fits so snugly it does not wiggle in there even before reinforcing. I add a small bit of padding - but the other nice thing is that it is stackable, and has a gasket seal so it is completely waterproof to boot. I find around construction sites I get a lot more of the "natives" striking up conversation with me because of it rather than wondering what the SuperGeek is doing with the strange camera... I have a case similar to the custom case you list as well, though, and that is the kind of case I use for shipping or going far with the device for SURE as there is a lot more padding with the thick foam. But, for how cheap they are (you can get them for ~$40), keeping every element known to man off of my stuff, looking macho, and gaining brownie points with the construction folk it's very doable to have both. That picture is terrible by the way, it looks a weird washed out gray... the case is a nice dark black, I use it as my ipad stand when the Matterport isn't deployed Pic of the Matterport fit (look at the divot in the center of the lid.. it's literally JUST the right size) There is a DeWalt version of it as well if you ever see one and want to offer it via Amazon.. not sure if they are the same company or what.. but the DeWalt seems easier to find. Anyway, just my 2 cents! |
