Someone please help. First time using cupix and im so frustrated trying to align and connect my points. I have 3 floors and on all floors the points are so frustrating to get them to connect to each other. Is there something I’m missing here? To top it off, on my second floor under the layout tab, the left side 2D is greyed our. I have no 2D but just 3D here. |

Hi Tom, If you are working on a 3 story building, you should upload 50 photos for the first floor "section", 50 for the second, and so on. Once uploaded, all of the photos should align within that section. If they don't, then it's likely field error, and most likely due to not snapping enough photos. Take 70 photos if they don't align, and pay particular attention to transitions between rooms. You should be going for this, nearly all the photos are together. If you have this situation, then you need to take more photos: Here are there is where you need more photos: ● At Openings to Rooms ● At Openings between Rooms ● Hallways ● Near Doorways ● Near L Ways ● Near T Ways ● Between Equipment ● In tight spaces like Attic or Crawl Space Tech support: support@cupix.com |

@scott_cupix I tried Cupix having a similar issue bringing three floors together and not having enough shots. It being my first large scan in Cupix. I found not having enough shots, learning curve for the future, but one question not looking for the floor plan but a smooth walk thru, can you manually connect each pano to create a complete walk thru without the floor plan? Hey Ron, See the note above. If you took 30 panos in your training area and a few don't connect, try taking 40 panos in your training area before you go out into the field. Some other things you want to check before uploading: If you want to move a single pano into place, click drag (1,2) it where it needs to be. Then (3) clock it. Then connect it, or run a batch connection. also this to place it: connect: batch connect--> distance criteria Tech Support: support@cupix.com More on section alignment: support.cupix.com --> videos. Best, Scott |
