Hi guys, This is an interesting read and an example of how Matterport tours can be integrated with laser scanners used in surveying. For those who do not know these scanners are used to build a 3D model of a building both inside and outside and widely used in construction. In the article below they used a BLK360 camera to scan external side of a building in direct Sun and then used it and a Matterport Pro2 for an internal part of a job. https://survey.crkennedy.com.au/blogs/product-support-matterport/2018/Jul/18/BasketballVicSample BLK360 is a great tool but unfortunately it is very expensive. Its price around $16000 USD. Similar cameras with more advanced features can be even US$40000 or more. |

A little too expensive for the average person. Would love to have one. Besides the R&D that e=went into it, I wonder how much it actually costs to produce. I think they could recoup the expense through the software side of things. Certainly would get a lot more people interested. | ||
