Hi I am wondering if it is doable to transfer a website from Squarespace to WordPress. It is basically a bare minimum site. Should have started with WordPress in the first place but didn’t know any better.

Yes its not hard and if you are a certain level of WGAN member you get free hosting and they move the site for you.

Hi June...just a quick note to mention that yes, it is certainly possible to migrate a site to WordPress, from Squarespace. Here's an article that goes over one of the methods: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-properly-move-from-squarespace-to-wordpress/ The caveat here is that once the information from your site has been migrated, you'll need to get to work within WordPress (and your selected WP "theme" to get things looking/working the way you want. But, at least you shouldn't need to re-enter all of the text content from each of your pages/posts/etc. Hope that helps a bit! Cheers, Ross |

Okay so a Standard Membership seems the way to go for me.......just another question though. Do I get to keep my www.pryority3drealtyphotography.com domain? (it's on my business cards) And I read something about video's not transferring over that easy. I only have Matterport Tours on my site right now so is that treated the same as a video? Sorry for so many questions, I'm not that techy but learning.....I didn't even put my Squarespace site together.

I also read that it should be .org not .com for WordPress

I've been trying for over a week to have my WP site transferred to IonBlade with no luck. They keep having issues with my current provider.

Thank you for your offer @GlennTremain. They finally got it done yesterday. I think it was that my current host, 1&1 IONOS, is a pain to work with.
