Got a photographer friend who is interested in a Matterport and wants to rent my Pro2 NO. Mentioned that he’ll need to have an iPad and set up an account, etc, etc. Suggested that he reach out to a local provider and work out a referral relationship or if it’s a precarious competitive environment, hire them to Matterport his house for insurance documentation and shadow a bit. Any other suggestions other than making the leap of faith to purchase a Matterport? |

@Wonderdawg What's different today than when you and I bought a Matterport camera on a leap of faith is that your friend can: ✓ engage a Matterport Pro to shoot his house and ask to watch the workflow ✓ get 1:1 training from a Matterport Pro near by ✓ subcontract Matterport scans to a MSP until if/when there is enough business to justify the investment ✓ rent a Matterport Camera from a nearly Matterport Pro (other than you ) This WGAN Calculator - How much does it cost to start a Matterport Service Provider Business Calculator – helps a prospective buyer understand that in addition to the camera, a MSP also needs an iPad, tripod, case for the camera, etc. I aways recommend - try before you buy - for anyone that asks me. I would even take it a step further. Trick out your website with Matterport 3D Tours to offer Matterport. Then go see if you can make Matterport sales. While I am not sure that I have answered your question, I more likely reinforce your recommendation to test drive a Matterport scanning experience before diving into the deep end. Best, Dan |
