Hi. I have the possibility of scanning a new sports centre in a school with a large indoor 25m pool. But I see this can be quite a problem from some posts. Any advice on this please? Would I be better scanning the whole centre but using a 360 view at both ends of the pool room? Thanks Charles |

Take a look at this - hopefully this will answer your questions - all done with 3D scans: |

Thanks for that - it looks great. I see the problem that people were commenting on, in that your dollhouse view is black and I guess a floor plan would be too - but at least the pool looks good in the walk through version. That's a relief! | ||

I scanned along the sides as close to the side of the pool as possible. Nerves were shot as I hid behind the wall waiting for the splash Could not convert link |

@JuMP Thanks! That looks great - you can see areas where I didn't scan (dressing areas, a repeat raquetball court, the upstairs running track, but other than that, this could be used for so many things! Keith |

@CharlesHH Yes, I didn't see a way around having a giant black hole where the pool is. Needed a tripod to mount the camera in the pool (lol). Can you imagine how long it would take to fully scan that pool using some contraption to safely hold it? Best of luck with yours! Sante!! Keith |

I did read that if a pool is outside and has a cover, that you can do some scans with the cover on, then hide them from your view, but the data will be there on the floor plan and dollhouse view. Thanks for the help and advice - appreciated. |

Does the pool have a cover? Scan with the cover on, and then scan with it off. Only show the scan without the cover on. No more black hole or less at least. |
