Hi All, Yesterday (Monday, 23 March 2020), a MOTION for Judgment on the Pleadings with both briefs due by 18 May 2020. Once those two briefs are filed, each side will likely decide if they want to settle prior to trial, or continue to the trial stage. Dan |

Hi All, I received this note today (28 April 2020): --- GeoCV submitted a motion for judgment on the pleadings and MP has replied [Monday, 27 April 2020]. GeoCV asserts that Matterport’s claim is baseless without merit. Because a motion for judgment on the pleadings can highlight for the court its ability to resolve the case without more evidence, if the judge decides in favor of GeoCV’s motion, there can be a prompt resolution of the dispute by the judge in 30-45 days. The tentative trial date is 6/14/21....let’s see if MP wants to burn through some more money for a year on this. If they decide not to settle, it reflects how much they are afraid of GeoCV technology." --- I could imagine that any defendant would argue: "... claim is baseless without merit." If the case continues to drag on, it could go to trial 14 June 2021. That's still more than a year from now. What are your thoughts? Dan |

I though GeoCV has moved over to a new company and we cannot get new equipment, other than clear there name what would this do to regenerate the business, or am I thinking of a different business.

@ron0987 My understanding is that: ✓ there are no employees remaining at GeoCV ✓ GeoCV platform still works for those that have the GeoCV Kit ✓ not possible to buy a GeoCV Kit from GeoCV ✓ existing GeoCV Kit owners would like to buy MORE GeoCV Kits ✓ only one GeoCV Kit may have been posted/sold via WGAN Private Group to Buy-Sell Used Gear ✓ GeoCV Kit owners the GeoCV platform ✓ Once this lawsuit gets resolved in favor of GeoCV - my prediction - the flood gates will open for GeoCV Kit orders Best, Dan P.S. I would love to see GeoCV back again to this market, but i don´t think it will happen. Their product, in my opinion, is better than Matterport - it has the same features plus: 1 - Drone integration with 3D models 2 - Virtual Staging option I never knew about their prices, but i suppose it was just like Matterport, right? However, Occipital might become a huge competitor to Matterport. Check this out https://canvas.io/next What is your opinion? |

Hi All, A Matterport lawyer - Lucinda C. Cucuzzella with Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP - will take the depositions in June 2020 of: ✓ GeoCV Co-Founder and (former) CTO Gleb Krivovyaz (Deposition: 15 June 2020) ✓ Former GeoCV COO Nataliya Preston (Deposition: 16 June 2020) ✓ GeoCV Co-Founder and CEO Anton Yakubenko (17 June 2020) Your thoughts? Dan |

This is interesting, I always believed this would sorta die as GeoCV went to Russia with Anton and you could not get their system any longer. I want to see more on the Class Action that is going with the MSPs in multiple States. Also how does the Redfin suit come into play? Then you have the new lidar scanner in the Ipad and the app for that. Interesting times. |

But I am wondering if MP is trying to drag there feet hoping GeoCV will just give up and go away since it has taken so long to get to this point of depositions.

@DanSmigrod Ok so what would that mean GeoCV opens as a branch or division of Ocippital or back as an independent service? Any speculation or gone forever sucked up my Matterport.

My guess is MP will purchase GeoCV unless Occipital purchases them and revitalizes the company in Russia. In which case MP doesn't have a leg to stand on!That's my hope! Screw MP!!!

What a shame, though I guess it was inevitable that GeoCV were going to throw the towel with the team having moved on to other things. Matterport seem a bit like King Canute trying to hold back the tide though, as there's an increasing amount of pretenders to their throne.
