What video resolution for Facebook?8022

Louisville, KY
JohnLoser private msg quote post Address this user
I have just completed a short promo video for a local realtor that is to be posted on Facebook. The original video is 1920x1080 and is about 4 minutes long. The file is about 310MB. Is this too big for Facebook uploading.

I can re-encode to a smaller size if needed. What resolution should I use?

Thanks for your hep.

Are you talking basic upload or for your FB header area? https://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/facebook-cover-video-how-to-set-up/

I believe they will be posted as a basic upload. I only need to deliver the video. The realtor will take care of the upload.

I found a "Facebook" preset of 1280x720 in my Adobe encoder software, so I'm planning to use that one. It still creates a 300MB+ file, but apparently that's an acceptable file size for FB.

Thanks to all for your help.

Upload to your YouTube account as unlisted then download in HD. It will drastically reduce the file size while keeping it HD.
