I am in need of a video editor that can remove people from a video clip. Does anyone have any reasonably priced solutions. I'v seen Youtube videos of it being done, rather easily, with the correct software. Not sure what that software was. I've already tried PhotoandVideoedits and they don't offer this service. Thanks for any help, Ross |

Removal is usually the domain of visual effects work and depending on the complexity can run hundreds to thousands depending on the number frames in the clip. What is your budget? |

This is one reason why we just edit the the clips together and add transitions etc. I’m sure that if we were to quote in the hundreds or thousands that some folks would think we were over charging. Remember, each frame has to be photoshopped and at 30 frames per second, that’s where it gets expensive.

Here's a Youtube video I saw that did it rather quickly with the Blender software. Is anyone using this that can comment on it? Seems like it would be rather easy without having to do anything in Photoshop. clickable text |

Blender is freeware so have at it. Commonly called rotoscoping, the demo video is from a locked off camera with a single element to remove, but has moving water and splash. More people, moving or shakey camera, you are going to need to track the elements, then remove. Photoshop has some capabilities and can work with video, but it also works in layers, which is fine for photo work. The video example works in nodes, as does most visual effects software. After Effects, Adobe’s VFX software can work both ways. If you want a quote, post a few frames from your clip. |

@rzphotoman, That's very impressive. Did you reach out to Darkfall for them to quote you on what they would charge to remove your subject? BTW I got lost in the process at about the 4th step

Here are the 2 clips, one after the other in the same file. In the first one you can see 2 workers on the roof that need to be removed and the second one has a sign that says Homestead Title > that than needs to be made blank. I just contracted someone from Fiverr for $30 to do both. Sounds way to cheap but he had good samples so we'll see. I'll post them here when I get them back, supposedly in 48 hrs. |

I said I would pst the before and after edits I had done, both for $30, in less than 48 hours. This was done with Blender. Not sure why everyone thought this would be costly and time consuming. I thought they turned out ok. |
