How easy and accurate is it to to measure fixtures and fittings from the Matterport point cloud? I’m keen to see best ways to measure anything from fridges, ovens, washbasins, kitchen worktops without manually doing it by hand. Thanks Angus |

While it is super easy to measure pointcloud data, I wouldn't use a MP scan for anything other then to get a general idea of the proportions. It captures walls ceilings and floors rather well due to the large surface area's, but struggles a lot with smaller elements. I suppose it depends on your use case. You could make an assumption of the width from a cabinet for example, by measuring it and keeping standardized cabinet measurements in mind. If you where using a BLK360 or other laser scanner it would be a different story. You could just load your scan in to ReCap and start measuring. |

Thanks Danny. Yes BLK seems to be the solution. | ||
