Hi All,

Should Matterport 3D Tour floor scan circles be a eye-level?

For clarification, we presently "walk" through a model by clicking on the white Matterport floor scan circle on the floor. This means we are always looking down.

Should we be clicking or tapping at eye-level on a scan circle?

Seems like this would be an easy option for Matterport to test by enabling this feature and then see which option photographers activate for their tours.

Your thoughts?

Best,

Dan

No. You can click in the middle and still navigate while keeping the viewer level.

I'm fine with them at floor level.

What I wouldn't mind seeing is the ability to toggle the color in workshop so that I can actually see some of the scan points which can be almost invisible on some surfaces (eg., lighter carpet). I often remove excess scans points, but sometimes I've missed a few because they weren't immediately visible to me in workshop.

It would be a nice “option” however, I think circles in the middle of the image may be a distraction.

I agree that they would be a distraction.

This is how Matterport VR works. I don't care for it.

In Showcase v2.0, while in the tour, key in:

UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, B, A, H

In the panel that opens, drill down to 'Debug' > showSkyboxes.
