Hi Dan, I have a few questions that you could do to Charles, or to the SV team. One is about publishing on the streets with our car and this new cameras. Will this panoramas on the streets sent by commom users like us replace the Street View car panoramas and enter on the History with them? Is there going to be quality control for it? A lot of my clients wants me to change their storefront on the Street View because it's outdated, and this images do not always connect with the SV car panos of the street. Only Insta360 Pro, iStar Pulsar or Theta V can publish images on streets, or can I upload any panorama created on DSLR or any other camera to the streets? Can I use Panoskin, for example, to publish images to a street on my city? Could I connect them with my business SV tour? Another question: Here in Brazil, specially in my area, we are having an issue with competitors using Samsung 360 cameras that are charging only US$ 40 to create an entire Street View tour of a business with low quality (or no quality), without connecting the panoramas, not blurring people, car plates and they don't follow all the recommendation that Google used to ask from the first angencies/photographers of the program. And a lot of companies are closing the contracts with them instead of closing with us because of their low price and misinformation. This is a discouraging competition. Can you ask Charles Armstrong how should we deal with this as a professional agency/photographer? Thanks for sharing. |

Quote:Originally Posted by TakedaSan Google Street View Team Member Stafford Marquardt says: It depends on whether your competitor is violating guidelines or rules. If they are violating rules, you should report the imagery (eg not blurring people and car plates). If they are violating guidelines (best practices), not something that they can help. IMOP, you might redo a competitor's work. Show the client and if they don't pay, take it down. Hope that helps. Dan |

@TakedaSan Google Street View Team Member Stafford Marquardt also says, the team is aware that Google Trusted is in need of so that Trusted is meaningful. For example, you and your competitors may have "trusted" status, but there is a difference in quality. Google wants to figure-out how to help the professional community that is contributing quality content. Dan |
