Best way to scan hotel with many buildings?!6947

advancedhdr private msg quote post Address this user
Last week, I was fortunate enough to get a Hotel scan job.

Its unique as it has Five separate buildings for guests, all 2 story buildings on the left and right and the Lobby in the center. The one with the Bed icon is the lobby.

The client wants to scan 3 different hotels rooms, 1br, 2br and King Suite, lobby and pool

They plan using the tour embedded on their website to showcase the three room options..

What is the best way IYHO (in your humble opinion) to tackle this project?

I will also be taking Aerial shot as well as HDR stills an short video for close ups to use on the Mattertags.

How would you tackle this?

I see it 2 ways, depends on how much is scanned in each building.

You can try to do it as one large project, or break each building into its own scan and use Mattertags with links for each building in the Tag. So you could jump from one building to any of the others, plus your drone aerials/images.

We have done over 400 scans on one project, 21,000+ sq ft. Others have done more.

Hey guys...

Ross here from ThreeSixty Tours (TST). Thanks @tocha for the plug!

We agree (surprise surprise) that TST would be a great fit for this project! This would be especially slick when coupled with a nice aerial drone photo. You could also consider using the service provided by the folks at Satellite Panoramas too, even if it was just a placeholder, while you wait for the right day to get your "real" drone-based panorama.

Here's a demo of something similar, that might be somewhat inspirational:

Furthermore, you could present all of this (with TST) under your own domain if you have "White Label Pro account" with TST (free for WGAN Standard & Premium members).

Lastly, we've just pushed out an update to TST that includes custom Google Analytics integration, new marker types, and several additional bug fixes/polishes/etc.

Please reach out if you have additional questions!

Thx,

Ross

Hi @3dvirtualview - Thanks for the message.

If you are using a custom domain, or subdomain, within ThreeSixty Tours you should see some of that SEO value return to your primary domain. This is especially true if you are able to create/submit an XML sitemap to Google, letting them know the whereabouts of these URLs that are now under a domain you own.

With WP3D Models, much of this happens automatically (thanks to the use of a recommended/integrated SEO plugin).

Does this help answer your question?
