WGAN-TV CUPIX for Newbies AND CUPIX Versus Matterport with CUPIX Director of Sales Scott Anderson WGAN-TV CUPIX Update-Videogrammetry, Animation, and Much More with CUPIX Director of Sales Scott Anderson Hi All, I had a chance to preview a new CUPIX solution for the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) space this week. In one word, I describe it as "Magical" ... ✓ 3D Tour with integrated, interactive floor plan ✓ Ability to compare 3D Tours in a split panel at two different points in time ✓ Ability to compare 3D Tour vs Revit 3D BIM model in a split panel. Learn more on WGAN-TV Live at 5 (5 pm ET | GMT -4) on Thursday, 19 April 2018[/b]. with CUPIX Director of Sales Scott Anderson (@scott_cupix) - whom has appeared on WGAN-TV twice before (see above videos) - and CUPIX Head of Product Strategy Paul Collart (@pcollart) whom together will demo and discuss this unique new - "Magical" - CUPIX solution. This is a "must watch" WGAN-TV show for: 1. Matterport Service Providers – seeking additional ways to leverage your expertise in 3D Tour capture 2. Google Street View Pros – seeking additional ways to leverage your expertise in 3D Tour capture 3. AEC Executives – seeking solutions to making money, saving money, time and improving workflow 4. Anyone thinking about buying a Matterport Camera specifically for AEC opportunities "In order to showcase the new feature, we've collected 360 photos over 6 weeks at a construction site to create virtual tours which can be compared against each other and against the 3D BIM (Revit) model," said Scott in an email to me this week offering the preview. I could imagine that when CUPIX presents this solution at the 2018 SPAR3D Expo & Conference (June 5-7, 2018 in Anaheim, CA) that CUPIX will WOW the AEC audience (whom will immediately want to find 3D Tour photographers that can deliver this solution). If you are in the AEC space - Join the Virtual Studio Audience – to join the discussion and ask Scott questions. Thanks for tuning in. Best, Dan P.S. This demo on WGAN-TV Live at 5 will be the first public dedicated demo on AEC with CUPIX. |

Well .. Thank you very much DAN, that was a very interesting show. It was amazing how fast cupix allows to capture a construction space because if you're going to a weekly tour (as a progress report), it would make no sense to use a technology that'll take you a week to finish a tour because you can really capture the progress that way (Matterport or DSLR), cupix really opens new doors. Another point was the offline viewer, that's really amazing because we have too many projects that we can't share publicly, but unfortunately i couldn't find any information about the CPX offline viewer, so if @Scott_cupix is reading this i hope he can provide us some information. Last was the 4D Tour, which is the 3D tour compared to itself in a different time. Thank you Dan, and Thank you Cupix, that is really great work. |

@imad The CPX file is the Cupix offline viewer will be released in the coming month [May 2018]. We will offer a CPX file that is completely offline as you suspect and can be exported once the Cupix tour has been created. You can use the CPX file to view the tour completely offline; initially you should expect to view the CPX by launching an executable on PC or Mac. Many of the latest features are unannounced and available through our newsletters, so thank-you for asking the question because these tools do actually exist (BIM Compare, 4D Tour, Videogrammetry Input) or are coming soon (CPX). We are nearing an update of our support site and website and soon you'll find all the latest info there, but please keep the questions coming. Thanks! |
