No I haven't dropped the camera (yet), but curious if anyone has.
If so, how bad of a drop was it, what happened, and was there any damage (physical to the unit, or it not working well/at all)?

I guard my camera all the time and when anyone is even close to my tripod I hold on to it to make sure someone doesn't trip across one of the legs. I would not what to think what would happen if it crashed to the floor. A 5' drop for any delicate electronics device would most likely spell doom.

Yikes! I didn't drop it, BUT ...

WOW Dan!

Powerful lesson

If the patio doors are open in the original shoot there is an opportunity to go outside for ambient light.

If the doors are closed THEN you open then the camera refused to align for me.

Conclusion is to plan the shots better!

Thank you

@DanSmigrod, I think you're on to something with the tub view… and for the male prospective buyers perhaps a view from proper sitting level on the toilets?

OK I'll chime in and admit to it - one of my Matterport Cameras dropped - TWICE. The first time during a shoot - the ball head wasn't tightened and the camera slowly tilted down causing it to go off balance and tumbled onto a tiled floor. HARD HIT!! The case popped open a bit but I was able to snap it back together. I finished the shoot without any noticeable errors. I called MP and they suggested I send it in for recalibration but haven't done that and it's still performing like new. The 2nd drop with same camera fell out of camera bag that was only half zipped. Camera took about a 2 foot fall onto hard carpet. Case separated a bit again but camera still performs well today.

Were you using one of those dodgie nodal Ninja ball heads?

Glad to hear they are fairly sturdy. They do resemble a brick a little

Can't count how many times over last ten years I dropped a Nodal Ninja. They are so light they fall like a feather :-) Even used NN once to put couple nails in the wall - opps did I just say that? Full disclosure - they were only brad nails.

Hahaha. Wouldn't catch me doing that to my ninja's
I have an old fujifilm that would work great as a hammer though
