| Promoted Post ---- Hi All, We are glad to release our new sqft(sqm) measurement tool. The JuMP Tools extension for Chrome. After you install JuMP tools as extention of your Chrome browser. You can have a JuMP icon at your Chrome Tools bar. Normally the JuMP icon is in "grey" and was disabled. If you open Matterport showcase page (https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=***********) the JuMP icon will turn colorful and you can just click it to get the sqft(sqm) result of this showcase.  Only Chrome was supported now and tested under Win8.1 already. You may try it with Chrome for MacOS but may not work. JuMP team from Beijing China |

| I would guess that the vast majority of photographers use a Mac computer. Its always been the computer of choice for a long time when it comes to editing photos etc. If your primary business is geared toward photography platforms, you may want to consider developing it first for Mac, and then for windows users. | ||

| I just added the extension to chrome on my mac. Then opened one of my own tour links and the icon in the top right came on and clicked and voila sq footage Very nice and does work on mac |

| @hometakes Sorry for the Chrome Only. We do not have MacOS system to test it. Maybe you can try it on Chrome in MacOS. If there is something wrong would you please let me know. We may try to solve it. But can only for Chrome on MacOS, not Safari. Safari is supporting extentions but it is different to Chrome version in the code. We may have Safari version later after we got a MacOS system for testing. |

| My point was as soon as you posted here certainly 3 of us are using Macs. That should tell you something. You should be developing for Mac first, even if it is on Chrome. Then make your changes for it to work on Chrome for PC :-) | ||

| @hometakes Thank you for the advice. It is true. Most of MSPs use Macs. But we don't have MacOS system now. Windows is the familiar system so that we can roll out code fast. There was a plan to get a MacOS system for testing in JuMP team. Wish more MSPs can select JuMP team and purchase our JuMP membership. |

| Ok, so it works for me. Some Constructive criticism. You really dont need to know beyond the decimal point. 179.098722111 Should really just be 179 Sq. Meters or the worse way, 179.09 Sq. Meters Secondly, you show Square feet for the total at the top but yet you dont show it for the 1st and 2nd floors. Third. Your biggest market that will use this is the USA. Yet you put Sq. Meters first. You may want to consider putting it the other way around. Sq. Meters means nothing to a person in the USA. Just me 2 Cents :-) |

| Just read your above message. Well the key to getting more people to pay for it is to appeal to your biggest audience which is the USA market. As I mentioned in my above post, you have meters before Sq. Ft. and you also dont even show it on the 1st and 2nd Floor examples. It also looks very untidy with all the 179.083889375973097949983782479299478929947892793882000 Get my point? It just makes it look very messy. Clean look is best. By the way. Square Meters abreviated is Sq. M. not SQM and Square Feet is Sq. Ft. and not SQFT. Its things like that why people wont buy as it looks like Mickey Mouse did it. |

| Anyway, I dont believe in abbreviating when there is space to write the whole word. Rather that your current look: Measurement of Showcase abcdefghi is : 195.0430326015903 SQM or 2099.425727067797 SQFT Floor001 is 98.99985405369763 Floor002 is 96.0431785478927 I would make it look exactly like this. Everything lines up very nice. All the numbers are in line, the ":" all line up too and it is all punctually correct: Measurement of Showcase abcdefghi is : Square Feet Floor 1 is: 1065.52 Floor 2 is: 1033.77 Total : 2099.29 Square Meters Floor 1 is: 98.99 Floor 2 is: 96.04 Total : 195.04 |

You should also change your icon on the extension. No one can make out what it is. However,take a look at the other two extension icons I have on my browser that you can clearly see. And if I didnt know better, I would think that the middle one was you and it shows a person jumping. Thats the perfect icon for Jump (maybe not that one, but one similar). Its the simple things like that which count toward getting more sales as you look more professional when it looks right. |

| @JuMP is there anyway to make this work when in the space editing mode? where the url is https://my.matterport.com/models/xxxxxxxxxxx ? It works fine for me with the url https://my.matterport.com/show/?xxxxxxxxxxx but I have some that are marked private that I cannot show publicly but would love to find square footage. Thanks |

| @tocha Sorry, we can't handle private showcases with extention now. The reason is when you click "JuMP Tools" icon it only call an API which was located at our server. The measurement was finished at our server side. If your showcase is private there is no way for our server to get any data from Matterport server. The login process is only allow you to get data from Matterport server from your PC. There is one possiblity that we can use extension code to get your login token from your PC send it to our server and our server use that token to get data for measurement.But it required some complex code and testing. We can handle your requirement by other ways: 1.Need a special code running at your PC side with your login token download the mesh file from your private showcase and covert it to OBJ. After that use the OBJ file for measurement by JuMP-ME v1.0. 2.Or you just buy the MatterPak from Matterport and use the OBJ file in it to get the measurement result by JuMP-ME v1.0. 3.Or we can make a DAM version JuMP-ME v1.0 which will measurement the original DAM file from Matterport. After you login at your PC you have access to download the DAM file directly. (Currently the JuMP-ME v1.0 only support OBJ format.) How many private showcases do you want to measure? Do you want to pay for the development cost of a special version of JuMP-ME v1.0 that support DAM file? If you don't have too many showcases the best solution is purchase MatterPak and use OBJ version JuMP-ME v1.0 (it is free). |

We only test it under Win8.1, never touch MacOS. From the feedback from you we know that JuMP tools is working well on Chrome running in MacOS too. Wish you like it. The measurement engine is working on our server that located at the east coast of USA. But it is a small Virtual Machine with limited power. Each request will trigger the server to load mesh file from Matterport server and using 3D engine to render and calculate the result. So if you get slow access please be patient and try some more times. We will upgrade the JuMP tools extention recently so would you please keep your JuMP tools to be the lastest version in time. (Normally Chrome will auto upgrade the extentions when new version roll out.) JuMP team's new product "JuMP-UV v1.0" will be released soon. It will require you install JuMP tools before you can get some enhanced features.
