My clients work with me, because Matterport is a complex product and they need competence and consulting in production and distribution. Furthermore my clients focus on their business which is most often not media and 3D. And of course they work with me because they like me and appreciate the quality of my work and my creativity. | ||

This is a good discussion - something I was just thinking about this last week. It seems like attrition is minimal for me as long as I continue to do a “passable” job. When I was on the other side (a broker hiring a photographer) I used the same photographer for years. In retrospect, his photos weren’t that good, he was difficult t schedule because he worked another job, and he was a bit expensive. I continued using him partly because he was nice to deal with, but more because I didn’t want to take the time to research new photographers, hiring someone new and maybe ending up with worse photos, learning a new system of downloading photos etc. I guess my point is if you provide a decent service and do so in a pleasant manner, I think agents will keep you on speed dial and not make a change. The inertia of an existing relationship and system makes the effort to switch, for most busy agents, not worth the effort. Conastantly trying to improve and provide better material for my clients is something I do more for myself than out of trying to prevent attrition. |
