| @eggardner by carefully checking into the images I believe that this was done with a DSLR camera. Look at the nadir. It is perfect and this is something that no 360 camera can do (by 360 camera I mean those Iris360, Ricoh Theta, etc). I don´t know about the software for showing the images. It doesn´t seem to be Panotour but it is something like that. |

| @eggardner Any 360 panoramic camera. But this looks rendered, or the images was duplicated to do the different interior overlays. Then all you need is a 360 editing software and a viewer. I know there is a company in the US specializing in this. I will have to look where I saved their details and will send it to you. The problem is with your Matterport you will get things not stitched together correctly and a lot of breaks in the interior model. As the camera needs to be at least half a meter away from anything. I had a problem with some Ferraris I have done in the past. Oh and a small tripod that you don't get the legs in the shot. |

@eggardner you mean for the 360-walkaround? I am in contact with people that manages the Toyota dealership network in Argentina and I was thinking in creating a virtual car dealership with Matterport, multimedia Mattertags and such, but it seems that the 360-walkaround includes analytics and other things, although the website is confusing (at least for me  ) |

| you mean with Mattertags? It is really simple because you only have to select the spot, place the tag and then fill in with the content you want. I haven´t worked with multimedia tags yet, but for what I have read there is no mistery about it. The only think, if you are doing a car dealership or something like that, is that you will have to get the official videos from the brand, and will have to take (or get) high quality photos. My guess is that probably the official car dealerships will have access to that marketing material and hence you only will have to deal with the Matterport model and the rest will be provided by them. Now, a very different thing is the 360 interior of each car, because it will demand either the Ricoh V (I am still not convinced that the Hyundai 360s come from a Theta! ) or another type of camera plus stitching etc. |

Ah, I see! Well I have been researching the 360 rotating photography for a while for a failed  proyect that I had with Staples here in Argentina.For large objects, you have to take one photo each 5 degres or something like that (let's say from 36 to 72 photos in total depending on the quality you want to get during rotation). For doing that, you have to draw a circle around the exact center of the car (use a cord for that with the exact long of the fixed distance from that center to the objetive of your camera). So it is you who rotates and not the object. No need to use a turntable whit large and heavy objects if you can put the car in an empty clean open space to work with. Or you can put an infinite background in the back (but it should be a very big one) and rotate it together with your camera. There are tutorials or guides in Youtube I think and I am sure you will find tips searching the web. This guys have the software (there are others): https://www.iconasys.com/ |

| The cheapest solution is to rotate the camera instead of rotating the car. It requires skill, patience, and good light equipment, but it works. If you do it on a cloudy day, much better. One problem could the the light reflecting on the chrome surfaces and on the flat parts of the car facing the camera, but with practice you can manage it. It could take long hours, so be careful with your quotation. You can put the car outdoors in a park, like the Hyundai example and that's it. |

| Another possible way is to place a motorized slider (with a fixed focal point and take a series of video shots whilst completing the circle. A circle with an 8m diameter will take about 33 by 780mm slide videos to complete. Then edit it all together and you'll have a rotating vehicle | ||
