I've been trying to figure out how the new TOS announcement will impact commercial spaces. Spaces such as hotels, meeting spaces, wedding venues, etc. Most comments ive seen seem to be focused on real estate based transactions. The announcement was a difficult read. Thanks in advance |

I see it as a win for things like rentals. It paves way for virtual staging and interior design. So a property management company can offer stage before you rent services as an added value. Just wish we could get affiliate compensation from the 3rd party virtual staging service and provider of the goods. Do you now see why the terms have been updated? Matterport is going to make affiliate money off a third party using our intellectual property and the 3rd party is getting affiliate money from the provider of the goods (Wayfair Amazon...) I don't know the ins and outs of app sales and compensation but I am pretty sure it is not the above model. I believe that Apple gets a one time fee of 30% of the app and any upgrade pricing but not affiliate money every time the app is used. |
