Careful not to shoot ourself in the foot.6463

We should be extremely cautions and not shoot ourself in the foot.

Being new, I am as frustrated just as much as everyone in this forum. But after reading everything from a class action lawsuits to posting to BBB to posting to online business reviews and contacting the Realestate industry.

I think it’s critical not to kill our business..

When you meet a client and tell them it’s a Matterport camera, or MSP, should they google the name, “Matterport” to have a ton on negative, disparaging reviews and caution signs would blow a deal..

Again, I’m on the same team here, but I think the way we go about this is important.

Just a thought..

@advancedhdr yours is a valid point and shold be taken into account.

However, I believe that something strong should be done if we want to persuade the company to take a look at us with more respect.

So far Matterport has acted upon the hypothesis that they can change their TOS at will (have done so many times) and the market will not notice it.

We must find a communication channel to let them know about our concerns.

I am not sure if a Class Action is the right move, but I will support any strong move that makes them sit at the table to talk business.

@jfantin I agree with both of you, but without some action, it's clear Matterport would do nothing.

I kind of agree with @rzphotoman - although I don't agree that Matterport would do nothing. I actually think it would get a lot worse than it is right now!

Hence the post I started a couple days ago Sorry Matterport

I do not think that we will be shooting ourselves in the foot. The damage has already been done. We must now try to recover and rebuild our brand as well as Matterport making things right and rebuilding theirs.

It can always get worse, we are dependant on Matterport. I have business lined up for some time. I am still behind the product, just not management. Its not the hardware, it's not the firmware, but it is the soft minds behind it.
