So much for this camera - I just got this notice. Thank you for registering your interest in iris360 Pro. As you may know, we formally announced iris360 Pro at the Google Street View Summit in Tokyo last year. Since then we have received many enquiries regarding the status of the product and when it will be available to order. Having taken many factors into consideration, we are writing to inform you of our decision not to pursue production of iris360 Pro. |

Seemed like vaporware when they made a presentation about it at GSV Summit but failed to show the camera or the resulting product.

Very sad. Does anyone know details about the mentioned iSTAR Pulsar? We are doing 360° event photography and we are looking for an alternative to the insta360 pro. The iris360 pro was supposed to have high resolution instant imaging with 90MP per image. |

The market for 360 cameras for the GSV market is not as big as it seems. I don´t think this was a technical difficulty but a market based decision, and a good one I must say. Too many options, most of them truly amateur and cheap but functional, and a market that is not interested in quality. We have seen to what degree Google has dismissed the importance and relevance of the original Google Trusted Pro program and the way they relegated the "see inside" feature to a third or fourth place, and the result of all of this is the lack of interest in this kind of cameras. |

It is disappointing for all of us who wanted this type of quality at an affordable price. I guess it was too good to be true. I was a bit shocked that they had suddenly canceled production after so many months of promises. I don't know what this says about NC Tech as a company? This seems like a major strategic blunder and is doing nothing but hurting their image and reputation among people like us.
