Why Accept a Deep Discounted Matterport Scan Hi All, If you are just starting out, accepting a deep discount Matterport scan is easy: ✓ get scanning experience ✓ get video testimonials ✓ collect a logo for your website But, if you are a seasoned Pro, why accept a deep discount Matterport scan (and why would I even suggest that - even if you are super-busy with high rates)? Interestingly, if you are super-busy, you have MORE reasons to accept a deep discount Matterport scan. First, some backstory. There are many companies - included Matterport Pros - that use the We Get Around Network Find a Matterport Pro Map to locate Pros. They are working multiple markets. By buying so many Matterport scans - and often having the Matterport Service Providers that they engage upload the Matterport model to the their (the client's) Matterport account, they learn what the lowest possible price is for getting Matterport scans done in a market. So, back to the original question. So, why accept a discounted Matterport scan when you do NOT need: ✓ get scanning experience ✓ get video testimonials ✓ collect a logo for your website The answer is to learn about the workflow, payment and agreements (ownership, copyright, non-compete, etc.) from those that are experienced in buying a ton of Matterport 3D Tours, so that ... ... you learn best practices to help you scale your business by engaging others Pros in your marketing - and even outside your market. For example, yesterday (Monday, 29 January 2018), a Standard Member of the We Get Around Network reached out to me for help sourcing a Matterport Pro that could complete a project by this Friday (2 February 2018). The project went to one of the WGAN Basic, Standard or Premium Members with a public profile on the We Get Around Network Find a Matterport Pro Map. The client had previously accepted deeply discounted Matterport scanning projects from those that source Matterport Pros (as described above). So, this Pro knew exactly how much that s/he could offer to engage a Pro to trim and publish the model to his/her Matterport account. It was an amount that you would instinctively reject (before you read this WGAN discussion). (The Pro makes the spread between what s/he pays and what s/he charges the client.) Which brings we make to, why if you are super-busy ... why you should accept at least one deeply discounted Matterport project: to learn how to scan your Matterport Service Provider business by engaging other Matterport Service Providers. Now, focus on developing trusted client relationships with companies that have multiple locations across town and even across the country or around the globe, because you now know the workflow, payment process and agreements that you want to put in place to scale your Matterport Service Provider business. By the way, WeddingWire is an example of a company buying thousands of Matterport 3D Tours. See the WGAN Forum discussions tagged: WeddingWire If you are amazed about how little some of your competitors are charging, engage them and focus on what you do best: building trusted relationships and scale your business by leveraging the next generation of Matterport Pros that will work for much less than you. Do you agree or disagree (and why)? Did I change your mind? Best, Dan P.S. Ready to scale.
