Our latest mash-up for 2017 is the MatterPortal experience, a journey through MP models and VR portals. What if the screens around you were portals into another space? Follow Tosolini Productions through this seamless exploration of ten real world spaces in VR! Each location, from Miramare Castle in Italy to the historic 1924 Schooner Zodiac vessel, has been scanned with MP and connected with portals in Unity3d. Discover how VR opens a new world of spatial possibilities. Conceived and developed by our talented VR designer Michael Gelon. We are planning a technical blog post on our web site http://tosolini.com sometimes in January. |

Very nice, but very shaky and hard to follow. Keep working it, it will come. |

I am still disappointed from the bad mesh quality of the OBJ´s. For a great Unity experience there´s needed much more IMO. Any options to improve this by combining the 3d data (OBJ or Pointcloud) with additional photos via photogrammetry? Who else thinks that the scan quality of the MP is of a better quality than what we get as MSP´s? |

Mori, I also believe that the mesh / point cloud quality from the MP could be much better. If we could get access to the Raw Data from the Camera, this would give us to opportunity to try it out. Since the Point Cloud format does not include scan location, it is very hard to use it for remeshing....All we can do is use it has a template for remodeling. Guess that's the price to pay for a turn-key cloud based solution. | ||
