Matterport 3D model with big external scans make this villa very beautiful and attractive. 12 hours, all day/evening lights scanning time (not continuous of curse)

@MarcelloM First of all, excellent work! Tell me, how were you able to get the outside done so well? It seems whenever I am working outside; (a) the model on the iPad does not fill in properly like it does indoors, and (b) did you have to make many more scans than we see in the finished model and hide the others that were too close to each other?

@MarcelloM, Here is a screenshot of exactly what I mean. Scan 11 was on the outdoor covered deck/patio number 12 and 13 were on the grass and all you can see are the hedges--one curved and one straight. Do your outdoor scans look the same?

Hello Networker, yes I have to scan more than what you see when outside and under Sun light. Yes on the grass we get the same “black” scans: they are totally unusable for creating the 3D space. So you have to wait for the late afternoon for scanning that area.
The scan 11 is typical when the surface is affected by the sunlight: you can keep this scan and re-scan close to that point later near or after the sunset (right time depends also on the clouds and if the area is in the shadow).

Hey @MarcelloM, thanks for the advice. I have a client who wants outside walkthrough, however, I ended up doing it the cheap and easy way -- 360º But, it's nice to know that could be done.
