This was my first scan with the new version Matterport Camera. Does anyone know a fix for this scan? I'm considering going back int the morning and rescanning the main rooms up and down. |

Looks like your camera has some issues. It should not look so washed out like this. I am surprised you got all of the data for the dollhouse considering the amount of sunshine coming through the windows. I would be checking with matterport that this is not a calibration or sensor issue with your camera.

Problem solved. It was so brand new that the stickers were still covering the lenses. I will be going back and reshooting tomorrow. Live and learn! |

@judysmithre At least it is an easy fix, no downtime! |

I did not do any of the workshop to change the starting point. I understood that you always have to start in the basement and build up. |

@judysmithre I think it's easier to start in the basement, but its not required.

So you want people to not see the money shot of the home first and start in a Basement ??? Thats a very interesting way to start but that does not work in my book. |

@judysmithre You can start anywhere but I usually start at front door. You can rename the floor on capture app. Say you come in on the second floor and it has an upstairs and downstairs, just label it main floor, upstairs and basement. When you start to go down the stairs, just change the floor at the top of stairs. It will be the same spot you would change the floor if you are just scanning from bottom to top. Or just scan how you are doing it and set the start point at the front door. No one is going to know where you started and stopped! |

Quote:Originally Posted by DouglasMeyers @judysmithre likely did not want to make any workshop changes because she would have recognized it would be a waste of time to do so as the model was written off due to the issue with the blur. I would wager for a completed model that the start point would be changed. |

@DouglasMeyers I don't believe @judysmithre has done any of the completion work for the tour as she wasn't happy with the colors etc - as it turns out she has to re shoot so there wouldn't have been any point wasting time making changes etc in workshop.

@judysmithre Yes so much better one word of advise I would give is when you have a highlight real never end it on a 360 but use your starting point for the end of the real. If someone plays the reel, many first time users will not know how to get back in the house when ending on a 360 and will get frustrated.

@judysmithre Hi Judy looking much better! Hey I just noticed that in some scans you can see the base of the tripod leg/legs I would try and keep them a little more narrow so that you don't have this problem.
