| I just completed a scan for a pharma company. They have airlocked doors so it was tricky one to scan but I now have the problem of moving through a door. I scanned on the otherside of this door by looping around another way but this door is at the beginning of the tour. So the client needs to move through the door the way it was intended for training purposes. I saw a post a while ago but I cannot find it now. Can someone point me in the right direction - I need to place a link in a mattertag outside the door that will skip viewers to the shot on the other side of the door that I have included in the highlight reel. Any help much appreciated. |

| 1. Duplicate your model on your iPad 2. Crop the doorway containing the door that you want to go through 3. Republish the edited model from the iPad 4. With that part of the 3D mesh removed you should be able to navigate through Please try it and let me know if it worked. |

| @tomasdunbar you can use the 'U' to get the location of a scan and in the mattertag.. follow the instructions using the [link]. When you click the link you are transported to the other side of the door. Does that make sense? |

| Tomas, This is a little known Matterport hack to glide through closed doors. When you want to scan through a closed door, make a scan point 1.5m from the closed door slightly to the left then stop, wedge open the door, make a scan point slightly to the right (still 1.5 m away), then scan through the door in the normal way. Close the door and then repeat process the other side. Next you need to go into your iPad to trim the part of the 3D mesh that the scanner thought was a solid door. You should duplicate your model first to create a backup. Then using the Add Features tool, you need to set trim points to remove the mesh between the two rooms effectively removing the door. Once the 3D mesh is cut away you will be able to glide through the closed door as if it were open. |
