Are you sure its not a render? The movement is waaay too smooth for 360 video and you cant see the rig etc...

This is most definitely a render, I can see non-moving sky through the window.

That's a CG animation alright.. It would have been possible to do it with a moving sky as well, but thats not the point.

To answer the "how did they do it" question:

Most modern rendering engines now support panoramic (digital) camera's. You'll just put a camera in the 3D scene, set it to a spherical lens, use a FOV value of 360 and output it to a 2:1 aspect ratio.

You can animate the camera's position like they did in the video and you got yourself a similar 360 animation.
