360º Video: NCTech Commercial Director Chris Dryden and Technical Sales Director Andrew Baddeley chat about NCTech's - coming Summer 2017 - IRIS360 Pro High Resolution Automatic Panoramic Camera with We Get Around Network Forum Founder Dan Smigrod. -- NCTech iris360 Pro High Resolution Automatic Panoramic Camera Hi All, If you are thinking about buying another Matterport Camera - or deciding which 3D-VR-360º Camera solution is right for you, this Summer [2017], the NCTech IRIS360 Pro High Resolution Automatic Panoramic Camera should be on your short list of 50 1-Click Camera solutions to research. The NCTech Camera - and platform - looks like they wee designed to compete head on with Matterport. Among the features I love: ✓ ability to easy, quickly and seamlessly publish to Google Street View ✓ an open platform (I did not ask about pricing) ✓ Camera price ($2,899) ✓ quality of the photography It looks like NCTech looked for the weaknesses of Matterport - things like Matterport branding, closed platform, no image editing, image quality, lack of ownership of digital assets, not allowed to publish to Google Street View, for example - and built the 2nd generation iris360 camera - the iris360 Pro - to take Matterport head-on for Pro photographers. Take a look at the video – and the NCTech website for the specs - and let us know what you think. Best, Dan P.S. Video above shot with the Insta360 Air paired with a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone. |

I think it's the camera they needed to release as version #1 and not the POC they released last year. Without any examples how can you love the quality of the photography? and .hdr is used for VFX(visual effects not special effects.) SFX is practical like models and explosions - think Myth Busters. |

@TrustedPhotoDC I could imagine that the image quality form the iris360 Pro will be exponentially better than the iris360. Dan |
