| No not being rude. You can have it directed to another site. Tim does a nice platform for this. It's a way of matterport ensuring you continue to pay for hosting even if you no longer use the camera. It has been requested we host our own models, especially if their server goes down |

| The only way you can host anything close to your models is to produce a video capture (MP4) which you can host on your own server. But of course it doesn't have the impact of a VT. MP will never let us host our own MP VT as that is a major part of their long term revenue. |

| Thanks for the answer guys. I am not trying to get away from their monthly fee at all. I think it is quite reasonable to charge monthly fee for this service. My concern is on up-time side of the things actually. I would like to be able to provide low legacy and 100% uptime for my clients. There is only one way to do that... which is hosting the models on my own servers  |

| I have briefly discussed this with a sale manager. In short there needs to be a way to store the SC locally or even the workshop for archival purposes. I work in the AEC industry and the way their offerings are I a only getting the obj model. I Would have to continually host SC if I wanted records of construction progress. My other option is true laser scanning - which I engage in, but sometimes you do not need that level of accuracy. |
