Hey all Hope all is well! Just a quick question relating to government or top tier corporate companies that require security around the content you are modeling. For example infrastructure will want to keep their assets private. Im currently pitching the concept to a couple of these agencies and wondering if anyone can provide technical knowledge or options on how secure MP links are (As I assume they are not very secure)? any idea what I can say or include into the pitch about security? Thanks in advance for you help and guidance |

@Rentertainment Matterport is a public platform. in prep for a meeting with a CSI unit in the greater Atlanta area, I checked with MP and was told the MP team has access to Private models to help trouble-shoot. So, we had a nice demo, but that was a deal-breaker for crime scenic investigations for visual storytelling for jurors. Dan |

@HomeBaseTeam correct MP is a public platform. Best to pursue these opportunities. It is not a solution for privacy, confidentially, etc. Dan |

That is why we didn't look at this for crime scene diagramming. This device would be an easy sell to law enforcement agencies if it could be "locked down". If MP could come up with a stand alone software, even in the 15-20k range, that would easily sell this device. It's not an outdoor item, but a great add on for interior scenes that wouldn't take much to train!

Have you considered Toursler? There has to be a way to keep the content private. It has been a concern for a few homeowners we've shot for already, but we were able to just delete the scans of areas of concern like offices, closets etc. The public not wanting their private residences completely mapped is a legitimate concern. Most of the homes we've been doing are vacant, but we already present it as an option. In most cases the pros will out weigh the cons but we have to be respectful of people's privacy.
