Hello, After you finish Floor 1, do you mark Floor 2 only when you get to Floor 2 when the stairs are long and tall? Or do you need to do anything when the stairs between 2 floors are long winding staircase? Thanks! |

Usually the stairs belong to the floor they service. So basement stairs start at the first step down from the top. Same for a main floor with an upper floor. At the moment it doesn't seem to matter where you start it as the processing will put the floors where they feel it's best. Apparently this is chnaging/changed with the update? Anyone noticed this? It's a good habit to do it with the above method however. Worst case you can duplicate the model and delete floors |

I had uploaded a model recently for a two story home. After the model came back to me, it showed as a 3 story home. Talked with Matterport and they said it was a software glitch and unfortunately going to have to live with it. The additional floor was from a step down Living Room, I had never had this problem before.

I had a 3 level with the garage on the top level The garage joined the basement, 2 floors below. Very strange |

Ok CKC, here you go. When you view inside its views as a 2 story home. When you look at it as a "doll house", you'll notice the 3 floors. https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=yopqWUSzXsk |

Yes. They said the same thing. It's an issue on their end. They are working on it, live with it

CKC, Only marked 2 floors. Matterport's software stitched it together as 3 floors. According to M - "you floor designation is only for your own designation and the viewers to identify". This model just suffered a software glitch. |

I'm curious if any of you have had this problem after the Capture 2.1.1 update. In the email we got from MP on May 13th it said the number one improvement is: "Scans are only aligned against other scans on the same floor (or the preceding successful scan), to prevent false alignment between distinct but similar-looking floors." I don't know if this is related but hopefully they're working on getting out the glitches. I've had this problem myself on two of my models. Clients weren't happy. |
