I just watched the presentation on immoviewer with the Virtual Showing. As I've said before (many times), I'm not the sharpest tack in the box so I'm having a hard time understanding the Unique Selling Proposition. It's basically a screen share program. Is this for people who DON'T have Matterport? I could screen share a Matterport tour with potential buyer and get the exact same results faster and clearer. I guess I'm not sure why I'd spend money creating the 3D environment and using immoviewer instead of (or in addition to) screen sharing a MP tour. I'm not discounting the product at all...I'm just not understanding what makes this different. |

@StevenHattan In this video (above), immoviewer CEO and Founder Ralf von Grafenstein and Julia Marks PR and Social Media Julia Marks compare the immoviewer 3D/VR tour service to Matterport at Inman Connect San Francisco 2016 (#ICSF16). |

Ralf is a great champion for his platform -- I enjoyed watching this. As a suggestion that I gave them to their marketing (while viewing it), I suggested that they put Julia in front of the camera and add some diversity to their site in its presentations. @SteveHatten From my understanding ... "Virtual Showing" would work in conjunction with their feature to give "Limited Access" to panoramas during the administration of the 3D tour. The agent would publish to the public the "locked version" of the 3D tour, which you can find an example here ... https://360-grad-immobilien.com/tour/1095146?accessKey=5858 With this 3D tour example, the first 3 panoramas are "unlocked", but the remaining are "locked". The agent can lock/unlock each pano appropriately. If a potential buyer is interested in viewing the entire listing, they would have to register for the 3D tour. The agent receives a notification of this request and can either grant them unlimited access to the listing or can take the approach of first taking the potential buyer through a "Virtual Showing". The "Virtual Showing" enables the agent to virtual walk the potential buyer through the space, while discussing (or selling) the features of the property. They can always give the potential buyer full access to the 3D tour after doing a "Virtual Showing". Note that since the potential buyer now has to login to the 3D tour, the Agent now has access to analytics specific to that buyer. Hope this helps. |

It does help, very much actually. I get the 'value' of me being the listing agent and 'forcing' buyers to listen to my sales pitch about the property (this could be a great positioning tool to present to sellers, "I can 'be there' for every showing and sell the property better" but here's my question. Since I already own the Matterport equipment I think I'd rather pay two hosting fees for the same model. The first one, I'll call the 'Teaser' (or LOCKED with Immoviewer) only has a couple scan...all the rest are hidden. When someone wants to see the entire property I do a screen share (free) with the 'Completed' version after they register. Again, I'm not knocking anything. Just trying to understand so I can make the best informed buying decisions. Now, of course, if I'm a looking for a 3D solution and I DON'T own the Matterport camera then this maybe a viable solution. |
