Hello,

It looks like MP only supports English (or Latin languages?) so it there any way to add foreign languages like Japanese, Korean or even Chinese when naming models?

Thanks!!

Hi CKC.
My question is: Hi! Is it possible to maintain the Cyrillic fonts (as well as other non-Roman font)?

Support replied: Пока нет, но я скажу команда разработчиков, спасибо!

(Apologies, that was the best I could do with Google Translate ...)

Hey all..

I apologize in advance for the shameless plug here, but I thought I should mention that I built my recently released WP3D Models WordPress Plugin to support Internationalization and it offers support for other languages. Currently there is just a (weak) Spanish translation that was largely added using just software translation tools. That said though, it's ready to go for others, including those that are non-Latin.

Please note that what I've created won't change anything on the Matterport side. We can only hope that they're tracking this forum and then work an update up their own priority list.

Please reach out to me if you would like to discuss further.

Thx..Ross

Hi...

Yes, I believe so.

I built my plugin using the 'localization' tools that are baked into WordPress. Doing it this way then allows me to provide a translation file that swaps out all of the text in the plugin with translated text provided separately.

Are you already running WordPress?

Would you be able to work up an install in your preferred language for testing?

Here's a bit more information: http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress_in_Your_Language

I followed the methods described here when developing the plugin:
https://codex.wordpress.org/I18n_for_WordPress_Developers

Please let me know if you'd like any more information, or would like to work together to provided a translated solution in Japanese and/or Chinese.

Thx!

Ross
