Hi Dan, I can't get Matterport to launch on my Samsung Gear VR. (Verizon Note 4 running Lollipop). I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. The screen just goes black and returns me to the home screen. I see others with exactly the same issue on the Oculus Q & A page. Oculus says, "Contact the developer"... I have no problems with other apps. |

Currently broken on Lollipop. Need kit Kat 4.4 Not worth trying to roll back, good chance of bricking your phone. You'll just have to hang tough til they fix for lollipop or find a note with kit Kat... | ||

@Frederick46 Lollipop is NOT supported by Matterport yet (OS must be 4.4.4) When you pair the Note 4 to Gear VR, you should see the Gear VR Store: not the Matterport logo. When you pair the Note 4 to Gear VR, you should hear a positive sound effect. If you do not hear the positive sound effect, try titling your Note 4 away from the Gear VR. Careful not to break the connector. (Seems counter-intuitive, but this worked for me.) Did the above solve the puzzle? Dan |

You're not missing much, the app itself within Gear VR menu is just 3 examples that aren't all that impressive. I had them build one level of a model we had shot into a side loading app for a presentation I had last month, and everyone was very impressed with it. My understanding is that there will be more available soon, and they're working on getting approval to load within Oculus. If you have a Gear VR & extra 400-500 dollars they can convert one of your models for you but there are limitations of course. I'm excited to see what they'll have next, if anyone is in in Iowa I'll be speaking & demonstrating Gear VR on stage at the end of the month. I'll also be speaking at Inman Connect SF in Aug this year. |

@virtualshowingsla Great questions. (So, I asked Matterport) They replied (paraphrasing) ... --- Samsung GearVR support on the web is not out yet and will not be for a while. It is up to the Google Chrome team if Chrome plays nice with WebGL. --- Does that answer your question? Dan |
