I use a Manfrotto 055XPROB https://www.wegetaroundnetwork.com/topic/292/tripod/ along with a 496RC2 head http://www.manfrotto.co.uk/compact-ball-head-with-rc2 Here's a review of the entire kit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmenklsAZX8 The tripod is very sturdy and can accommodate any situations you throw at it. As it's vitally important to have a rock solid platform for the camera. If you have any other questions please feel free it ask. Best of luck Gary |

I use the set up @DanSmigrod recommends, having the tripod dolly is awesome for large spaces, everything stays level and simply rolling it to the next place is easier.(specially when doing large spaces) Carlos. |

@CKC Here are three tripods: Manfrotto MT190XPRO3 ($219.88) (I recommend) Manfrotto MT190 ($179.88) (1 of 2 suggested by Matterport) Manfrotto MT294A3 ($119.95) (2 of 2 suggested by Matterport) Our shopping list of Matterport Gear and Accessories also includes the Ravelli ATD Professional Tripod Dolly ($38.96) recommended by @CarlosFHdz (if you are doing large, flat open areas such as an office. I use a Dolica CF tripod with integrated ball head that I already had. It's nice and light and works just fine. I wouldn't mind carrying around an aluminum tripod once a minute for two hours, but my muscles are already big enough. ;-)

I know a lot of people will disagree with me but... This one Is $70 and works good for me. I use the Ball Head for quick level adjustments although it requires an adapter to thread QR plate on.

@DanSmigrod I purchased the ball head so I can us the tripod for shooting stills as well as videos. When using my MP camera I tend to do all of my leveling with the tripod legs and leave the ball head alone.

@DanSmigrod I to have a second tripod which I use for my Cannon to shoot for Business View. It's a Giottos Vitruvian VGRN 9255 which is a sweat little tripod. It's so compact and light, an ideal tripod to carry on my backpack. And no your're not obsessive. You like me believe in having the right tools for the job
