| I am supporting MP2VR or any other 3rd party solutions, but I hope MP2VR is not sued by Matterport anytime soon. Based on the legal consultation Matroplex360 received, matterport's Terms and Policy does not have any legal problem, meaning Matterport can potentially sue MP2VR. This is very sad, and I hope this does not happen. | ||

| @yoon2366 I'm not sure they can. I'm not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure that MP2VR violates TOS because I assume that all panoramas are extracted. I really like what I assume has happened -- Matterport have decided to compete with CoreVR at $19/tour, rather than bothing to shut it down. That's how I think Matterport should react to EVERYTHING. They should IGNORE what we are doing and just beat us at their own game. The battle is being fought on THEIR soil -- meaning that they have all the advantage -- they have a large team of developers, they have all of the code that we reverse engineer -- they can run circles around us all day long. I'm a huge fan of what @GarySnyder is doing and hope that someone at Matterport was inspired by his work! Competition is the BEST thing for any business! |
