| Today (1 September 2016), we changed the name of the Matterport User Group Forum to the WE GET AROUND 3D2VR FORUM. As I previously shared with you in this post ... Should I change the name of the MUG Forum? ... what brings us all together is Matterport - the 900 pound gorilla in this space - we are all visual storytellers first. That said, we want to know about all platforms and third-party solutions to help us decide howe we can best help our clients and grow our business. So, we want to be inclusive and inviting to all 3D2VR platforms and third-party solutions and the name change to WE GET AROUND 3D2VR FORUM reflects this direction. Same great Visual Storytelling Forum Members while acknowledging the growing universe of 3D2V platforms and third-party service providers in the Matterport space. We started the MUG Forum two years ago. My any measure, a helpful resource to the community. As of today (Thursday, 1 September 2016): ✓ 1,800 Members in 72 countries ✓ Matterport Knowledge Base of 20,000 posts among 2,400 topics ✓ 10,000+ Visitors monthly ✓ 1+ million page views annually ✓ 100 new Members monthly Is the name change to WE GET AROUND 3D2VR FORUM from Matterport User Group Forum a good idea? | Great as MP is...... think you've got it right not hooking your whole train to one engine. Not that other technologies have ever been discouraged from participating here, but.... think actively encouraging a broader range can only up the game for the forum and all participants.
