Quickest and Easiest Method .gif production?2294

I really like the idea of embedding an animated .gif of a Matterport model into an email and then making that a clickable link to open the model itself so that its a dynamic email (next best thing to having model itself embedded in, which I recognize we cannot do right now).

Does anyone have an idea of what is the quickest/easiest method for creating a .gif file for someone without super-advanced tech skills?

@GlennTremain I'm not thinking about a generic animated .gif, but rather a new one for each model (if there's a quick, easy way to produce them).

Try giphy.com. Its a solution that allows you to create a GIF file based off of a video clip which you'd have to create but may be a viable solution.

There´s a link in the third party service provider section, it´s called Gif Me Five - but the link is broken.

For total control, I´d recommend doing a short screencapture and import video as layers to photoshop.

You can also find several online gif makers like giphy or makeagif.com

I made this one yesterday - skip every 3 frames on import, pause 0,5 sec on each frame of interest, export 440 px wide;

I enjoy creating a simple tour on video (Camtasia) of 20 seconds, save it to MP4 and upload it to http://ezgif.com/video-to-gif, where there are several optimization options, play with them until you get optimal filesize/quality. For emails I recommend GIFs until 2Mb. It's a 15 minutes process once you get it right and just repeat.
