Insta360 is launching a new camera on 4/22/25.. I found this video online that teases it. looks pretty cool, curious to see more from it and hear what the specs are. |

While low light performance looks impressive I take all these Insta360 influencer reviews with a grain of salt. I'd have to see how this camera performs without having to run the images or videos back through the insta360 studio software for instance when shooting something like a Zillow 3D home tour or Matterport tour ~ currently, the insta's tend to be pretty grainy when used with Zillow or Matterport |

Quote:Originally Posted by lilnitsch You are right on spot. When he reviewed Theta Z1 and presented it as a good camera for Street View I had it as well as Theta V and me and a lot of other people were experiencing 360 photo location data being wrong. I asked him to test exactly this and add to his review. He promised he was going to do it and never did it. We tried to fix it through Ricoh support and even get on board their volunteer supporting their group for development to help us. Ricoh reply was stupid like they did not read what the problem was and simply said "send us a camera for repair" Well both V and Z1 were brand new and they simply could not have the same fault being two different models and only something that was used for both of them could cause that and it was their app. It was even more obvious as a smartphone used for capture shown correct location but recoded one in each photo was wrong to the point that 360 photo was placed 50 and sometimes even 100s meter away from an actual spot. After we realised Ricoh would not care about user feedback with bugs reported in their app I simply sold both and never considered buying Ricoh camera again. |

Don't care that much about the new camera (except that Mike hints that the lenses are easily replacable). I'm more interested in the fact that "Mile is back!". I really liked his website and channel and was sad to hear that he went into hiatus and sold the Vroomers webpage. But now he seems to be back after a 1 year break. The person he sold the webpage to seems to have dissappeared from the page also. |
