My son has been in water mitigation for over 10 years and using Matterport to document property damage for about 5. He uses both a Pro2 camera and a rotator when given a job on short notice. Because he has found to many errors in the floor plans, he normally does his take offs by hand and import them into Xactimate. He decided to give Matterport a chance to see how the Xactimate process worked thru Matterport and got charged $430. His boss hit the ceiling, I was wondering is this the normal pricing for those of you that use Matterport and order Xactimate file export products. They are in the process of evaluating the process, I told him if this is the case Iguide is definitely the better alternative. Looking for input from other users. |

I'm currently exporting some TruePlan for Xactimate files on a house that suffered smoke damage in the Altadena fire in Los Angeles. TruePlan for a home between 1000-4000 sf is $175. The cost varies according to tiers of square footage. Personally, I would never scan a space for export data files except with a Pro 2 or Pro 3 camera. Measurements just cannot be accurate enough for my taste. |

He only uses the rotator for documentation, not for estimating. What is the difference or is there a difference, is there an Xactimate file and a TruePlan file type that Matterport can be exported that can be imported by Xactimate? This house was only about 1800 Sqft. So, I do not see why the price was so high for him. | ||

TruePlan creates SKX files that I'm told import directly to Xactimate. Cost should have been $175 according to this page. Scroll about 2/3 down.![]() |
