Tom, I appreciate your efforts to continually contribute to the WGAN community by submitting your blog posts. I like to hear how you pitch your services. I must speak up and disagree with you about the benefits of using video to promote residential real estate listings! Instead of laying out my research findings here to back up my position, I invested the time and effort in late 2024 to create a 13-episode mini-series on my YouTube channel aimed at informing realtors about how to optimize their digital marketing media investment for their listings. One of the episodes, the last one, specifically presents my research on the hard facts about including video in a media campaign to showcase a listing titled "Incoming Truth Bomb - The Facts About Video Tours". Here is the video with links in the Description to sign up for the mini-series, delivered to your email Inbox each morning for 3-5 minutes of some savvy media insights: |

@Dataventurer Hi Dave, Thank you for the comment. I offer paid consultation calls if you have specific business questions about how I market my real estate media business. The beauty of having an opinion is it can differ from others. I think products that agents order, are based in part on the market they're in. You're in Gilroy? My company covers Gilroy and 95% of the orders we get for that area are for photos and maybe 40% add drone services. In San Francisco the agents love videos (social media vertical videos that are under 1 min, or 2-3 min horizontal walkthrough videos). While you're percentages maybe accurate for your business in your market they wouldn't be the same for someone in SF, Oakland, SJ, or even in Austin, Tx for example. Tom |

@ScanYourSpace Tom, thanks for weighing in. You raise a very good point! My market is in the South Bay and my stats reflect the viewing habits of the buyers looking at my listings in that area. My encouragement throughout my 13-episode mini-series for agents is to check the viewing statistics in order to optimize their marketing spend. "If you can't measure it, you can't manage it!" And your point is insightful that the viewing habits will differ in different locations! |
