Ya I don’t think your prepared to hear what I’m about to say but yes I did make a mistake and I learned a little late. I will still preference this I do not like how Matterport’s customers service works but I now understand what the first customer service agent was trying to explained to me when I bought the camera. It came to me of cf course in the middle of the night, after one client requested a model up grade. Another requested just a model with the Pro3 that I no longer have. My business partner and I went through all the options and so we don’t loose the client and hosting fees we receive we decided to buy another Pro3. Yes you heard me right. But we talked it thru trying to come up with the best way to handle it my partner said something about the starter plan and we ruled that out because it will not process Pro3 models. Tom Sparks talked about long term hosting and consider it as away to be structured for profit. I kept thinking about the statement the original customer service agent was trying to convey, it was not transfer the new models to a classic plan it was create a Starter Plan for my customer. Create the model in Pro account and then move them into the Starter account. This is where I can place their existing Pro2 models and move the new models. I calculated and can have a Pro account 5 starter accounts for existing customers to host my existing classic account models for about $1200 a year. This will bring in about $3500 in hosting. This will allow me to terminate my classic subscription so I no longer have to worry about it. So yes I was wrong bad choice but I will admit it. |

What are you charging for hosting to get up to $3,500 a year? I can't seem to pursued many people to continue hosting on most of these. I'm assuming for the cost of $1,200 you are getting 45 total tours. 5 starter accounts with 5 tours each (25), along with a Pro account starting with 20 tours. That's a loss of 155 tours on the classic plan with 200 tours for the same price of $1,200 a year. Bye Bye portfolio and now I have to use Matterports examples with green grass and pine trees to people in the desert. People are suspect to middle men already, especially the ones advertising from elsewhere. |

@VTLV we used to have a complex hosting plan and now we converted it to we bill January 1 and July 1 , if we shoot your property it will be hosted until one of those dates for free. Then client has 2 options, 1st option 6 months $75 or 1 year $125. Most builders architect take the 1 year option. Real estate agents depending on market usually take the model down and or take the 6 month option. I usually share the model stats if it’s getting no traffic I tell them there marketing is not working because they are getting no online traffic . Which sometimes pushes them to keep it and change the marketing and some pull it. But I have three contractors all together with about 20 models, I got two or three business models that I will put in their own starter plan because they are expanding and reshooting. Their the one that require the Pro3 along with one of the contractors that has 12 models now and is expecting 2 this month with a Pro3. |

@ron0987 that's an interesting yet good approach, bill 2 times a year. I need to consolidate my hosting plans because they vary from client to client. One client pays $10/tour/month, another pays $50, another pays $200, etc. | ||
