Do you know when will Realsee release the new Galois? Celia from Realsee have been telling me since 2023 that it will be released between Q4 2024 and Q1 2025. I spoke to her recently and Celia said that she has no idea. I need to purchase another camera and if Realsee is reeasing one this year then I will wait. If not then I will purchase a Pro 3. If anybody has any idea, please let me know |

@AndrewMaydaa is there a reason you will not purchase the current model, is there some feature that you are expecting on the a new model? Your willing to go with the known issues of the Pro3 and investing that much money. You may be a lucky one, and I know there will be a bunch that jump on that say they have no issues. But for the ones that do that is a big risk. | ||

Issues with the Pro3 you say? I only know 2 people who owns a Pro3 and it is working fine. Because I heard from people who owns a Galois M2 saying that for outdoor areas it is not as good as the Pro 3, especially for generating a floor plan. And the scanning time is longer, takes 30% more time for 1 full scan and finally the end product looks better on the Pro 3 even with the new update from Realsee (5 bracketing). they told me that the stitching on the Realsee is inferior to Matterport and thats from a user that have used both cameras and that hates Matterports's customer service. The main reason I would like the Galois is for the Video fusion feature, I own the G1 and the features works well, Celia said it will work much better on the M2. Investing $6k into a camera and then getting to know there is a new version that got released will not sit well with me as I will need to buy the new one. I like to be updated, its part of my company's brand. Feel free to share any feedback! |

@AndrewMaydaa I owned two Pro3's both went bad. I own a Galois and have no issues with it and scan with it and find no difference in scan times. I find no issues with the stitching. At first, I thought color balance was off slightly then I saw the editing tools and use them, these are tool that Matterport does not have. Yes, the floorplans are AI generated but it's easy to fix them. As far as Matterport you have to order them and that is fine, but when I ordered mine, my scale was always off by over a foot in less than 20'. I Posted here in the forum, then had to wait for new drawings. Then even after showing them where they were wrong, they still got the measurement wrong again waiting over 3 weeks for floorplans that are wrong. At least in Realsee a make a few adjustments and boom floorplans done. But these are just my opinion's. But if that one feature is a deal breaker then maybe go with the Pro3. I just wonder if the current camera would be upgrade able or it strictly a hardware issue/ |
