Those who have focused hard on producing great MP tours know that experience and creativity deliver superior tours, but the company’s goal, stated here, is for camera owners to be as insignificant and interchangeable as Uber drivers. It’s just their goal. We’re not important except to carry the camera to a location and put it on the tripod. This isn’t a complaint. MP is a good technology. But if you invested, or are considering, in a Matterport camera, simply be aware that the company’s interest is in making you expendable, easily replaceable. After all, “there’s just one button”. |
