I have been an IA since 2019. I got started by adding it into my Real Estate Valuation service. I am licensed in NY as my DHS and have non-resident licenses in FL, CT and NH. Some states don't require an IA license. Currently I am working daily claims as a Field Adjuster in NY. Insurance Companies don't typically hire Matterport Photographers. You are hired typically by Public Adjusters, Restoration Companies, Mitigation Companies and possibly some Large Loss/Commercial Independent Adjusting Firms. My last Matterport assignment was a fire loss I did for a PA. I personally don't always use Matterport for my small claims assignment. Most claims I take photos because Xactimate does not incorporate Matterport images into the Photo reports and I take lots of photos. I recently scoped a flood loss and submitted 400+ photos. Hope this helps |
