What I'm curious to know is: These are short TV commercials. Where are they being run? On YouTube? Other platforms? Cable TV? As they are addressed to RE agents, I presume no form of TV, cable, etc. Would really like to know the distribution plan. Anyone know? |

“Listing sold in an hour” I found that when agents are selling that fast, they have no use for Matterport. |

@Sdoughtie - Agreed. I have experienced a major drop off in Matterport orders the past year. While influenced by many factors, I believe the major reason is that low inventory and the general tumult in RE has dramatically reduced business for many agents. Some are leaving the business. Those who remain are earning less on average and therefore trying to keep every dime they can of their commissions. So they spend only on the essentials, such as photos. If buyers’ desires ran the business, every home would have a virtual tour. But selling agents have never yet been convinced that virtual tours are essential. Will that perception ever take hold? That is the key. |

There was the recent survey shared here as well. Agents said that (something along the lines) 32% of them see a bright future for virtual tours. You can turn that around saying 68% don’t see a good future for virtual tours. That’s horrible. |
