Matterport Pro3 Camera making this sound, other problem: help?19917

I saw a few previous posts about the Pro3 having an extreme loud whining coming from the LiDAR spinning. First use after setting for about 5 weeks. Noise associated with LiDAR mirror spin not rotation of camera. Started at about scan 11 and gradually got louder till scan 40 and stopped using it. So far scans all registered fine waiting to see final product. That was first issue. Second issue got notification that scan processed from Matterport but scan will not load. I see the thumbnail but won’t load on iPad or Win based laptop. Anyone else having similar issues? On issue one those of you that had similar issues, what did Matterport do to rectify the issue? |

If your camera hasn’t been dropped and you’ve purchased it in the last year, the VDrive (LiDAR mirror motor assembly) should be covered under warranty. A bad VDrive typically won’t affect a virtual tour but the LiDAR data will be affected. It’s also not good to keep using a Pro3 with a noisy VDrive…the vibration can affect the camera over the longer term and it is possible that the VDrive could have a piece come loose and fly off if it gets too bad. | ||

@MatterFix Purchase date was 4/18/23 will have to see what Matterport says and have no plans to use it until repaired. Thank you for feedback. I just saw the accelerator pack has a longer than 1 year warranty, so got to see what Matterport says tomorrow. | ||
