| I haven’t, what I normally do is transfer the camera (in its case) into a hard carry on wheeled suitcase which works well. Although do always get stopped and checked!!!! | ||

| Hi @rhelling, I would be reluctant to check in the Pro 3, and like @ukvisualimmersion I bring the camera in a case as cabin baggage. Either way, you cannot put the batteries in checked in luggage, you must carry them in you cabin baggage. You must not leave a battery in the camera. I use fabric pouches that came with other equipment to protect the battery terminals from coming in contact with any metal objects that might short-circuit them. To reduce the number of checks take the camera and the batteries out of your bags and place them in a tray where they are clearly visible. The extra effort reduced my checks from every time to zero. | @rhelling there should be no problem either as a gate check or in the hold as the zipped camera case along with the additional padding on the Pro 3 hard case is more then enough. They will check you though so be prepared to answer any questions they may have. I fly all the time with my Pro 2 or Pro 3 in a big wheeled Peli case including extra batteries, tripod, lighting and other bits checked into the hold with no problem. | ||

| It is against the rules in any country to have lithium ion batteries inside any luggage that is checked (meaning that it is carried in the cargo hold with the large baggage). You must carry all batteries with you in your carry on bag(s). In the US, as long as the batteries are less than 100WH, they are fine to have in your carry on items. You can place your camera, charger, Tmount and tripod etc (without batteries) in your checked items, and using a hard case is probably best. Due to its value, I usually carry the camera in its zipper pouch (along with the batteries) in my backpack when I fly and out the rest of the items in my checked luggage. | ||
