| @DanSmigrod I think this article takes a long time to get to the sales pitch for digital twins. The article would be more useful to MSPs looking for a sales pitch to a prospective client than as advertising for capture services because without knowing the benefits of a Matterport space you could blink and miss the actual mention of Matterport’s services in the article. As an MSP I can see the use of a scan for planning or inspection purposes. It makes management and employees aware of things they see everyday in the real space but don’t really notice because they’re too busy doing their jobs. Just by changing the viewpoint through putting the user inside the camera slightly closer to the ground than they would be when they walk through the place in reality, they start to notice the walls or ceiling are dirty or the chairs are broken etc… |
